My TwentyTen Resolutions

I know I know it’s a bit clichĂ© to have resolution/s near nu year but I can’t resist. Most people have resolution but kept it to themselves because either 1.they’re embarrassed with their resolution/s or 2.they’re afraid if they said it out loud and by the end of the year they haven’t fulfilled/accomplished the resolution it will be shameful.
While some people said resolution is a waste of time and felt they’re better off without any.

But the way I see it, resolution is a motivation and disciplinary act of reminder of what I haven’t yet achieved in my life. And when you said it out loud it urges you more rather than keeping it to yourself. Knowledge is power and there is nothing wrong of having a lot of it, just like Sakura’s dad.

No.1 – No.5 are the resolutions I brought forward from TwentyOEight to TwentyONine to next year [still in progress]:

1. Learn how to play guitar[or at least know the notes]
2. Learn how to dance[one with official names not just crazy-like-dancing like in clubs]
3. Know more about soccer stuff[and recently I want to know about American Football after watching a film, “INVINCIBLE”]
4. Get to know about car thingy and get my driver license[no judgment please]
5. How to cook like a cook[more than the basic stuff+other countries cuisine]
6. Read more books. Or might as well start a book club [oh, I’m being too ambitious here!]
7. Watch more theater [oh, God it’s been a while since I catch one]
8. Get my own home[or at least rent] and have it my way
9. Visit at least one new city
10. Take class on sewing[wish to make dresses for my friends]
11. Live a healthier life [get my BMI right. RJ, come on REVOLUSI SLIM!]
12. Yoga or Pilates anyone?

So, whats ur resolution/s for 2010? any of mine trigger u to have one, or more?

IDIOT BOX #1 : The New Year's Resolutions That TV Shows Should Make

Yahoo! TV Blog
By Angel Cohn, TWoP Wednesday, December 23, 2009

Instead of just complaining when TV disappoints us, we've decided to be proactive and recommend some New Year's resolutions that we hope our favorite networks and producers follow. Here's what we'd like networks, studios, and show runners to do to improve their series in the New Year.

Will they listen? We resolve to have faith.

10. "Melrose Place" — Use Heather Locklear Better
Things actually started getting good during the fall finale, but Heather's still underutilized. Let the woman unleash her short skirts and inner bitch and then we'll be really happy.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: Haven’t watch the nu, comeback of the show yet. Really, really looking forward watching it.

9. "The Office" — Make at Least One Character Likable
Between Michael randomly hating on Erin and disappointing the school kids, incompetent Jim, self-involved Pam, and Dwight being Dwight, there's no one to root for any more.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: Ok, here’s the thing. I watched a few episodes of the first season [as I’ve been forced by ASH] and I don’t get the joke. I found the joke to be too American. Some of my friends said it’s not as good as the original, British version but ASH begged to differ. I don’t wanna say I hate it cause it might turn up like SCRUBS as I thought it was not funny before but changed my mind a bit todate after watching it again. So, fingers cross!

8. "American Idol" — Bring Back Paula
We're already dreading the fact that Ellen DeGeneres, who seemingly has no business critiquing singing, is going to be on the judge's panel. We're guessing that means she'll be funny... or attempt to be.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: I love Ellen DeGeneres cause she is funny and kind hearted BUT I can’t agree more with Angel Cohn, TWoP. Why is she being chose to critique the idol contestants in singing? I’m not the biggest fan of Paula but it seems she’s a better choice than Ellen. And if even Paula should be replace, do replace her with someone better.

7. "How I Met Your Mother" — Let Us Meet the Mother Already
Honestly, we sort of stopped caring about Ted's journey to find his soul mate. We're far more interested in Barney's antics, or even Lily and Marshall's love life. Let's meet her already and move on.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: True, true but I don’t really mind though cause the so long journey of finding his soul mate is not only funny but as well educating. Seriously!

6. "So You Think You Can Dance" — One Season a Year Is Enough
This is one of our favorite reality shows but the experimental fall season convinced us that there really can be too much of a good thing. Let it go back to summer when we have the time to fully enjoy it.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: I don’t really watch SYTYCD. Just when I got nothing to watch.

5. "V" — Don't Be So Boring
The pilot was pretty great but since then we've had to struggle to stay awake during this show. How can a series about sexy aliens invading Earth be so dull? If they don't liven things up, we're going to have to shed this show from our must-see lineup.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: Huh, first time heard of this one but dull aliens? Wow, that’s a bad combination.

4. "Fringe" — Less Monsters of the Week
We're hooked on the show mainly because we're intrigued by the Pattern. But we have to suffer through so many monster-of-the-week episodes before we get any info on those unexplained incidents.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: Again, yet to known.

3. "Glee" — Stop Letting Will Rap
We're not against Mr. Schuester singing, but that doesn't mean that his singing voice translates to rapping. It sounds weird and awkward, so let's stop before we have to hear his rendition of the latest Jay-Z track.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: Can’t wait to start watching it as suggested by so many others.

2. "Gossip Girl" — More Chuck Bass
Remember Chuck Bass and how he used to be so awesome? Now he's sort of Blair's sidekick. Please find something juicy for him to do that doesn't involve a dead ghost in his brain. You know we love you, xoxo, TWoP.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: I’m more of a fan-Nate-tic but that is so true, turn back Chuck into the douche bag he was. Much more fun and entertaining.

1. "Lost" — Don't Let the Finale Disappoint
We're still bummed about the way "Battlestar Galactica" ended and we're approximately 12 times more excited about seeing the ending of "Lost." We just hope it turns out to have been worth the wait and the hours we've spent searching the Internet for clues.

finkelberry.blogspot.com says: Enough already. Who the hell care how it’s going to end. Don’t you think they’ve lost for too long already? For viewers sake end it please!

What resolutions would you like to see your favorite TV shows make in the new year?

LIST #2 : TOP 10 World's Friendliest Countries

Forbes.com listed these 10 nations as the World's Friendliest Countries and guess what, our very own beloved MALAYSIA is not only in the list but in the TOP 5!

Method: The Expat Explorer survey was commissioned by HSBC Bank International and conducted by the research company FreshMinds. More than 3,100 expatriates were surveyed between February and April 2009.The respondents were asked to rate 23 factors related to their quality of life, including food, entertainment, transportation, health care, finances, education and their ability to make friends.

The Middle East has long had a reputation for being one of the world's perennial trouble spots. But for expatriates, the tiny Persian Gulf county Bahrain ranks as one of the most welcoming places to work. Bahrain ranked first in one key measure of how easy it is for expatriates to set up a new life for their families. It received high marks from expats who like the country's easy access to modern health care, decent and affordable housing, and network of social groups that expatriates can join.

The United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom received some of the poorest scores on the integration scale. Expats in the Emirates reported finding it difficult to join local community groups; only 39% of respondents made local friends compared to 76% of respondents living in other countries. Foreign workers in England complained about the challenges of finding affordable housing.

1. Bahrain
2. Canada
3. Australia
4. Thailand
5. MALAYSIA!
6. South Africa
7. Hong Kong
8. Singapore
9. Spain
10. United State

6 Indian Boys

I was in my neighbourhood park this one evening when I saw a bunch of kids were playing soccer/football in the mud. There were 6 of them and watching them brings back old memories playing soccer/football with my neighbourhood friends.

Suddenly my flashback was interrupted when I heard them argued about something, in Malay and they’re 6 little Indian boys.
How about that.
Always a fan of non-Malay’s who speaks Malay especially when it’s a conversation between Chinese and Indian people. Superb.

Now that’s 1MALAYSIA!

Ok, now what?

p/s: have always wanted to learn how to speak Mandarin or Cantonese and Tamil. Macam-macam Aznil nu season have a session on learning Mandarin/Cantonese and Tamil language. There’s a start.

A quick reminder, do vote for your “100 MEN U JUST WANNA BITE Y2009!” and “100 WOMEN U JUST WANNA LICK THEIR SKIN OF Y20009!” at previous entries.
Every vote counts!

I watched ‘ACCORDING TO JIM’ the other day and the episode was about how RUBY [12year old daughter] was embarrassed of her father [JIM] who wants to kiss her goodbye on the cheek when he sends her to school. Ouch! Being denied!

Suddenly at that moment I remember my mother telling somebody [can’t recall who] that at the tender age of 6, during my kindergarten year I have already asking my parents to go back home quickly after sending me to class. WOW, so early! Double ouch!

So, when did u guys had this?

Ok, now what?

FASHION ENTRY #1 : TO DIE FOR BAGS!

NAMASTE all FINKELBERRY-ian!

A quick reminder, do vote for your “100 MEN U JUST WANNA BITE Y2009!” and “100 WOMEN U JUST WANNA LICK THEIR SKIN OF Y20009!” at previous entries.
Every vote counts!

For the first FASHION ENTRY, FINKELBERRY would like to show uall among the ‘to die for bags’ out there. These bags are not the latest from all these fashion houses but they are still worth being in our wish list [for those who haven’t own it yet-ler] if they are still available-lah [cause all these were last year designs].

Nice rite? Got an eye on any?

Below are among the must have in ‘THE BAG LIST’ for the bag collector/lover or socialite:

1. Prada Bowling
2. Dior Saddle
3. Celine Boogie
4. Balenciaga Lariat
5. Luella Gisele
6. LV Monogram Multicolour
7. Mulberry Roxanne
8. Chloe Paddington
9. Marc Jacobs Stam
10. YSL Downtown
11. Fendi Baguette
12. Hermes Birkin

With no doubt most of the high end designer bags are gorgeous but many of us can’t afford to own it. There are a lot of non-designer label that have attractive designs with way more affordable prices such as MNG, MISS SELFRIDGE, ESPRIT,TOPSHOP, FCUK to name a few that are as well pretty .

You can as well go to boutiques in BANGSAR [MOOIE, CATS WHISKERS, SEVENDAYS, GOSSIPS to name a few] that offers cheaper prices than the street brand offer [more or less] with more choices. And what’s best about these boutiques is they usually got one of a kind for each design. So, no worries bumping into someone with identical bag as yours!

We’ve got our own home-based designer boutique that offer great designs as well; SEED, PADINI, PDI and VINCCI all under one roof. Support your local fashion brand!

Finally, two words; online shopping. Need I say more?

So, there is no reason to own and go out in public with hideous bag that says,I LOVE YOU BEAR! cause that is just so WRONG!

Ok, now what?

Recommended website on bags: http://us3clothing.blogspot.com/ [I’ve bumped into this website and God, they got a lot of nice bags!]

"NEW FRIEND/S ANYONE?”

Hi all nu-FINKELBERRY-ian.

A quick reminder, do vote for your “100 MEN U JUST WANNA BITE Y2009!” and “100 WOMEN U JUST WANNA LICK THEIR SKIN OF Y20009!” at previous entries.
Every vote counts!

I want to have a discussion about deep friendship matters but don’t feel like doing it right now. So, instead I’m going to talk about a lighter matter yet still in the topic of friendship.

I’ve asked 10 people [age 20-30] and the answer to almost everyone is they find it harder to make good friend/s at an older age compared to when they were younger.
Fascinating!
The question is why? Is it because at an older age people just too busy and lazy to get to know each other anymore?

As some of my good friends know I’ve been longing to make/have new friends to join our group cause God knows how awkward it would be sometimes when we hang out and there’s nothing new to talk about. This intended yearning is also good to expand our mind to new things that is out there yet to be discovered. Eve [my good friend] and I was once had drinks at a cafĂ© and we were bored to death cause there’s nothing to talk about when suddenly 2 ladies sat beside our table and started to played cards. So I said to Eve, this is good. They’re playing cards and we love to play cards as well. They sat just beside us which made it easier to start to talk with and they looked cool [a major plus plus].

I never made it to the next table~

I brought this up because last night my friends and I hang out and one of my friends, Zana brought her friend and when I finally had the best chance to make new friend [hoping to expand our group] by asking her what’s her interest beside hang out and clubbing with Zana, she said nothing; she has no interest. Ok, so how do I make new friends when he/she does not have any interest? What shall we talk about? Yikes!

Tell me how to make new friends cause I don’t think I know how. Most of my friends were made by 'forced reason' such as we went to high school together or we took the same course together. How do I make friends with someone out of nothing, with no 'forced reason'? And is it true that because everyone is so busy when they get older they don’t tend to know each other anymore?

Ok, now what?
